This free, city-run play space in Irvine's University Community Park is built for creative, messy play. It has a castle-like main structure, a big tunnel slide, a stone fountain with sand for damming, a sensory garden, and loose parts such as life-size blocks and dump trucks. A local guide notes the high points suit kids 5 and up, and shoes are required.
