Who we are
KIZGO (“we”, “us”) operates kizgo.app. For anything in this policy, contact support@kizgo.app.
What we collect
- Account information. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, profile photo, and a provider account identifier. We never see or store your password. We record when you accepted our Terms of Service.
- Content you submit. Reviews, suggested edits, and place submissions, along with the account they came from when you are signed in. Place suggestions may include an optional email address if you choose to leave one.
- Saved places. The places you save while signed in.
- Automatic data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) and an approximate, city-level location derived from your IP address, used only to center the map. We do not collect or store your device’s precise GPS location.
- Cookies. We use only essential cookies: a session cookie that keeps you signed in. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To operate the service: show places, maps, and reviews.
- To attribute and moderate contributions and prevent abuse.
- To keep you signed in and let you manage your saved places.
- To send transactional email only (for example, responses to something you asked us about). We do not send marketing email.
What we share
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we run no advertising. We use a small set of service providers to run KIZGO: Google Maps Platform (maps and place data), Google and Apple (sign-in), and our hosting and storage providers (Railway, Cloudflare). Each receives only what it needs to provide its service. We may disclose information if required by law.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. Because we do not track visitors across other sites, our pages behave the same whether or not the signal is present, and we do not respond to it.
Children
KIZGO is about places for kids, but it is a service for adults: it is intended for parents and guardians who are 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not offer child accounts. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact support@kizgo.app and we will delete it.
Retention and deletion
We keep account information while your account exists. You can delete your account from your account page at any time, or by emailing support@kizgo.app. Deleting your account removes your personal information and your saved places; reviews and edits you contributed remain on the site with their attribution removed (shown as an anonymous parent). To remove a review entirely, delete it before deleting your account. Server logs are kept for a short operational window and then discarded.
Security
We hold the minimum data we can, store session credentials only in hashed form, and restrict access to production systems. If a breach ever affects your unencrypted personal information, we will notify you as California law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — from your account page or by emailing support@kizgo.app. We answer every request; California residents may also have rights under the CCPA.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for material changes, note it prominently on the site. Continued use after a change means the new policy applies.
