The California Science Center in Exposition Park has hands-on galleries about living things and ecosystems. Kids walk through a tunnel beneath a kelp forest tank with sharks and moray eels, touch sea stars at a rocky shore touch tank, and see live desert animals and insects. The center's Discovery Rooms, designed for children 7 and younger, include a pretend wildlife surgery space.
